Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

Kipzo is a browser extension that saves Instagram photos, videos, reels, stories and highlights you can already view to your own computer. This policy explains what happens to your data. The short version: Kipzo does not collect, store on any server, sell or share any of your data.

What Kipzo does not do

What stays on your device

Kipzo stores the following in your browser’s local extension storage, on your computer only:

You can remove all of it by clearing finished downloads in the extension or by uninstalling Kipzo.

How Kipzo talks to Instagram

To list and download media, Kipzo makes requests directly from your browser to Instagram’s own servers (instagram.com and its media servers cdninstagram.com and fbcdn.net), using the Instagram session you are already signed in with — the same requests Instagram’s website makes when you browse. To do this it reads Instagram’s csrftoken cookie and observes the query parameters Instagram’s own page uses. This information is used only to make those requests and is never stored elsewhere or sent anywhere else. Your use of Instagram remains subject to Instagram’s own privacy policy.

Downloaded files

Files are saved by your browser into your Downloads folder. High-definition videos are assembled (video and sound merged) entirely on your computer. Kipzo only downloads content your account can already view; please respect creators’ rights and Instagram’s Terms of Use.

This website

This website uses no cookies, analytics or third-party trackers.

Children

Kipzo is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. If Kipzo ever needed to handle data differently, it would ask for your consent first.
